Mary T. Kitazono Hammell, M.D. graduated magna cum laude with a bachelors degree from Princeton University in 2001. She earned her medical degree from the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, in 2006, where she was nominated to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Hammell interned at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, where she was Intern of the Year. She was a resident in diagnostic radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, also in Philadelphia. She was selected as Chief Resident in 2010. Dr. Hammell completed a fellowship in pediatric radiology at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in June 2012. She is the author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles as well as a co-author of a textbook titled “Netters Correlative Imaging: Abdominal and Pelvic Anatomy” published in 2013.
Dr. Hammell is a member of several medical societies and professional organizations including the American Medical Association, Society of Pediatric Radiology, and American Roentgen Ray Society.
